Thumbs up Need Help With Radio

I bought a used 2000 Alero back in April of this year. When I purchased the car, it Didn't come with a owners manual. My husband had to clean the rust off my battery today, so when he hooked the battery back up, my radio says loc. Can anyone tell me how to get my radio off loc please? I can't live without my radio.

Gotta enter a passcode.

It's a 4 digit number. Are you sure it's not in the glove box?

Thanks Redog, but I have checked everywhere for a code. The only paperwork I have is for the sale of the car. There aren't any other types of papers that came with the car. What do you think I should do next? Is there any way around the code?

i think it depends if the old owner programmed in a code or not, otherwise there's a factory code and i honestly don't have my owners manual either, it got jacked when my car was in for repair work...
Somebody with a manual just needs to go through the directions, i'm shocked there's not a how-to on this somewhere...i guess it would be anice time to start one huh?

Ryan from Ohio will become famous soon enough
Old trick...

Toss it into your freezer for about 2-3 hours then reinstall.

I know this works for some older aftermarket radios with such codes
