hey kindve a stupid question but can you take off the box around the filter on the intake and leave it off or is it there for a specific reason? thanks.

It holds the "box" shaped air filter in place. Take it off and have a look inside. What you can do is grab a cone filter and put that on the end of the intake tubing rather than the airbox. The best thing to do is get an aluminum tubing air intake complete with cone filter.

yes, but then you need to modify a cone intake to fit on it
