Okay, folks, this one's got me scratching my head. My '93 Daytona has power door locks and a ton other power accessories. Saturday my door locks & dome light suddenly stopped working.... well, they do still work but not correctly.
With the car running, the power door locks open and close as they should and the dome light in the interior of the cabin works fine as well. Shut the car off and the power door lock buttons only open the locks but won't close them. The dome light won't go on when the door opens either if the motor's off.
I checked the fuse box but there is nothing in the panel that should affect both the door locks AND the dome light at the same time. All of the other interior lights work fine with and without the engine running, including both of the manual reading lights in the ceiling by the top of my windshield (the ones that are built into the rearview mirror in the Alero). All else in the car appears to be operating correctly.
Anyone have any suggestions?
Hopefully it'll be something obvious in the door when I check it out this weekend.
