okay, the olds emblem on the steering wheel... how is everyone painting it???...which is easier.. just hand painting it or masking it off and using some kind of roller?...or take steering wheel off , mask it, and spray it???... surely not.. help!

I'm sure a steady hand with a stiff brush or a fine sponge is the best way to go. If you want, you can try out using some acrylic paints. If you don't like the look, you can rinse it off. Then use some more permanent paint, such as Testors model paint (oil-based).

I've heard of people painting them with nail polish...supposed to work out pretty good.

well i'm using krylon fusion for plastics (blue)... i took a waterbrush and cut the bristles in half so the were pretty firm/stiff... i then took the paint and sprayed in on a paper plate... then i just freehanded it... and got way "out of the lines", made an ugly f$%king mess....no pics this time... now i gotta clean-up job on my hands.... anybody know how to get krylon fusion off???? lololololololol  (damn)

Interior looks nice there bulldog, ive done mine in the same color, turned out better than I thought it would...what color car you have? I also plan to this upcoming week paint that olds symbol on the steering wheel, probably gonna get some chrome testors and go that route, will post back on how it goes.

i did it 2 years ago. just sprayed the paint in a dixie cup and used masking tape to tape off every thing around it. then used q tip and dabbed it . hasnt come off yet

If those dont work for you i heard of some people using those paint pens, they seem to work pretty good...whatever u use, tell me how it worked out

I like that idea... seems less likely for problems than anything else.  Maybe I'll give it a try.
dadirtybulldog - as for the krylon fusion, I don't know if it'll take it off, but Canadian Tire here sells this great stuff called "Goof off"... comes in a metal container. That stuff took spraypaint and primer off of my computer case last summer when I was working on it... it wasn't fusion, but it could be worth a shot. My only concern in using that stuff though would be actually dissolving the plastic on the steering wheel... just thought that I'd warn you in advance that that crap is that strong!
