Question Flowmaster 44 Muffler

I was playing around on Summit and since Sweet and a few others have paved the way for the dual Super 40 set up, I'm considering doing it later this year.

However, I came across the Flowmaster Super 40 and Super 44. Is this new? has anybody ever heard of the 44?

Never heard of it until now but here is what they say...sounds new

The most aggressive, deepest-sounding street and strip muffler Flowmaster has ever made!

Flowmaster Super 44 mufflers offer distinct advantages over original 40 Series mufflers, while using the same technology as the Super 40 mufflers. The Super 44 mufflers deliver a deep, rich tone with an improved flow path radius, optimum internal flow, and sound control engineering, all created with Flowmaster's Delta Flow technology. The Super 44s are the most aggressive, deepest sounding, highest performing 4 in. case street mufflers that Flowmaster has ever built. These American-made, all-black mufflers exceed OEM specifications for use on street cars, race cars, and sport trucks. They are ideal when dynamic sound, torque, and horsepower improvements are demanded in a smaller high performance muffler. Their maximum performance and improved flow path will generate more torque and power than ever before! If you really want to hear your exhaust system inside as well as outside of your vehicle, these Super 44 Flowmaster mufflers are for you.

I read that on Flowmaster's web site too.

Seems like something I might like. The 80 isn't doing it for me anymore, and when I got it put on, nobody would do dual 40's on an Alero.

They are a little cheaper too.

i saw some comercials on spike the one day for these. after i saw it i was kinda pissed off that they came out with it right after i bought the super40. the super 40 is kinda thick, and the super 44 would be perfect for the alero. it would tuck up nice compared to the 40. i think you should get them....
