Aftermarket HU with steering wheel controls?

My Park Ave's stock CD player has been pissin me off because it can't read CD's to save it's life it seems like half the time, but I really like my steering wheel volume and seek controls, so I've strayed from changing it so far to avoid losing them.
I was reading another forum where someone asked this about a Mercedes and people said they made a special harness or something, so I was wondering if I could do this in my Park Ave.

I don't see how it'd work.. at all, but I figure it's worth a shot asking. Or would I have to ghetto rig up some sort of custom wire job that emulates the volume and seek controls from the face plate going into the HU itself?

Blah, hopefully someone who knows more about this than I do can chime in!!

They do actually exist... they're about $50

Like that? There's ones that are also specific to the type of deck you have.

So it basically turns your steering wheel into an infrared remote control. Cool idea!!

no prob... remember, if it's a newer eclipse or pioneer..... or pretty much any brand there's interface kits from the wheel controls to the remote in on the deck so you don't have to worry about the IR

Just search for SWI- on ebay and you'll see what i mean
