Clicking and rubbing noise when driving straight and turning right
Alright well its kinda pissing me off, whenever i turn out of the drive way or take a turn either left or right I hear this creaking/rubbing sound. Depends on how fast im going too, usually 5-10 mph I hear it the most then after that I really cant tell. But I really hear it when Im making a right turn. I also can tell something is rubbing cuz whenever I get out the car it smells like burning rubber, but my alignment is good and my tire wear is normal I just cant find where its at. Could it possibly be my brake pads up front? I have ceramic hawk pads up front that I put on about 6 months ago and I know they dont last forever n all. Also where I hear the noise coming from I have this residue on my rim that kinda smells like metal shaving. Any help would be appreciated.

I'd check your pads/rotors. Had a similar issue on my Cavy and it ended up being that the pads were worn out.

that sounds like mine too cuz its only coming from the drivers front side. I got brembo drilled/crossed rotors with hawk ceramic pads so Im pretty sure my brake pad is wore unevenly as well. Thanx for the help man.

I had a similar problem of cracking when turning, it was my top plate bearings in front that started to seize.

I hope I'm right about it. It's kinda strange too that the pads would wear out so quickly.

well my girls Alero wheel bearings are starting to squeal so time to change them, sucks cause i thougt i could just slap some grease in the bearing till i read the manual. 120 bucks for a new unit, so now i got to work on her car and put my alero on hold.

dude if u read I already said I replaced all that shit, wheel bearing wouldnt cause a clicking noise when turning right anyways, it would either have to do with cv jionts or brake pads/rotors. Ill post info soon as I jack it up thursday morning.

Found and fixed my problem, whenever I put my new brake pads in up front the lil metal springs that hold the pads in place, one was bent up when both sides are suppost to face down. Thats what caused the clicking when I was turning.

Now that is an odd thing to happen. Glad you figured it out.

yeah I just took my caliper off and the lil spring things ( I dunno the actual name of them) but they were rubbing cuz I saw this scratch all around my rotor, and that smell was from it too, its all burned n shit. Weird problem tho I never heard of that before.
