To anyone that may own this deck and experiencing the problem of it not turning up or down with the volume knob or control. Here is the solution. The cause of this problem is the ribbon cable which runs from the deck to the motorized control head. What I found was that by manipulating it it would turn up and down, or you may find that when you close it it starts to work again. What I did to fix this is took a piece of clear packing tape and positioned the cable to where everything worked and taped it there. You need to test by opening and closing a few times with it not moving or causing a problem with the head opening or closing. Enjoy your deck once again. Alot of people will not like dual products but other then this factory defect this has been a great deck and it looks cool at night to. But again you can't fix the lights if you should lose one and you cant adjust the intensity of the lights, but all and all
it is a very powerful and good deck. The sound imaging from this deck is pretty darn good for the price. I have 2 of these radios one with the motorized face plate and the one just below that with all of the multifunction buttons.
