Because its a nice change that isnt that far from the truth. Accoring to wikipedia the quad 4 (2.3L) and the twin cam LD9 are all the same family, so i can have a nice cover for 21 bucks shipped.

why not just get the HIGH OUTPUT Quad 4 IDI cover, that looks better.

I agree with DOHC_tuner. See of you can find the High Output Quad 4 IDI cover.
I have the HO cover on my engine, but I cut off the "Quad 4" section and welded on the "2.4L Twin Cam" section from the stock cover. Since this picture I've smoothed it out so it doesn't look so rough. Turned out pretty nice.

W-41 cover are hard to find and are way cooler but hard to find and expensive. i paid $150 for mine.

Ebays got nothing. Ill just keep looking for a Quad 4 HO idi.  150 seems a bit steep for a high schoolers budget.
