Shaking while driving most likley is a balancing issue. Have the tech look for a possible bent wheel also, or out of round tire or tires.
Shaking while braking is from the rotors. It doesn't take much runnout on our rotors to make the petal pulsate when braking. Have them measured to see if they're too thin. Probably need to be replaced.

sounds like the rotors, like he said have them measure, since you HAVE to replace them, Id say go with some cross drilled ones

let me clarify, when i say shake.... i mean the steering wheel shakes violently, as you can see i've tried to fix this many ways and nothing worked... the last time it was at the mechanic was for this same problem, i was driving it home and it started to shake so bad i had to pull over and park it..... the mechanic said that my lugs had broken off, out of five he said i had one left, shoot that sounds pretty dangerous, right?.... right.... i know tell me about it..... he said he fixed it... true... it did fix the shaking somewhat for a little while, but here i am again with the same freaking prob... as far as i can tell me lugs are fine... i simply hate having to rely on what the mech says.... he said he put all new lugs in, i can't tell, i just know on that tire i'm missing all the chrome lug nuts.... that sux bigtime...

if its doing this while not hitting the brake at higher speeds it can be the axle as we,,...i had to have mine replaced.

You have 105,000 miles on the stock rotors??????

For you do an insane amount of highway driving?????

When my rotors were jacked up it only shook/shiddered when braking.

Sounds like you have something more serious. Especially if you're throwing lugs off.

Do yo uhave aftermakret wheels? Are they 5x115 or are they the 5x114.3's?

Mine did shake bad after they fixed my car after an accident and I had to bring the car get diagnosed. I could feel the floorboard throughout the car shake and the gas pedal felt like it was gonna fly out, and the steering wheel did some shaking too. I had to get a new bearing and hub. Maybe a new wheel arm could help, too. Go get it diagnosed. Those are usually free....if not insurance covers it. Tell them u hit a duck or something...hehe.

Sounds like something more serious... what wheel is it ??
sounds more like a driveshaft, or wheel,.. not JUST the rotors for shizzle..... h34r:

the tires are Kumho "ecsta" P225 50R16, and i have american eagle rims... i not sure if they're 5x115 or 5x114.3's..... it's only the one tire, it also pulls to the right....

you might want to have you alignment checked too especially if it is pulling to the right. if the alignment is off really bad or something in the front end is really wore it can cause a vibration or pull.

My car was recently pulling to the left at freeway speeds. I had just had my steering rack and toe link replaced, so naturally I thought it was the alignment. Turns out, one of the wheel bearings was too tight? So it may be your wheel bearings...

i just had the wheel bearing replaced on that side...i'd say about six months ago.... car was doing it before then... something is definately screwed with that tire because my tire tread is wearing extremely fast, only one front right tire.... i don't know, i'm just afraid i'm gonna be driving somewhere and my tire's gonna fall off.

First off, forget the brakes, that's not your problem. It wouldn't just kick in at 60mph. And i don't think it is a bent rim, because you would feel that the whole time during driving aswell. Are you using any kind of spacers with your rims? Did you torque the rims down enough? Because that is probably the reason why your last 4 studs broke before. I would definitely have another mechanic check out the car. Second opinions matter!!!
