HIT AND RUN. :mad2:

Well EARLY saturday I was driving down a main street 3 lanes wide to pick up my girlfriend from work. ( I was aproching a red light with a car to the left of me. The light turn Green and we both continued to drive. ( i didnt completly stop but it was green befor the stop line. ) A purple/plum color CAN RAN a red light. The car to my left of me stoped as I did'nt seen this other car run the red and he hit my front frender/hood/DOOR. MY fender is bent down at the tip where the light is under the hood. the hood is bent down a bit. THE MOTHER F***ER TOOK OFF DOWN A ONE WAY! I was about to follow then CARS where comming. NO ONE STOPED FOR WITNESS!

(pictures tonight going to take some and then wash it.)

NOW MY PROBLEM. I have not report it yet because. As some of you know I lost my licends once for 1 month for 2 speeding tickets at 15 over. soo if I claim it as a hit and Run and then they see that this other person came in and said it was a hit and run WHO WINS? if it gose 50/50 i have HUGE Chance to lose my licends Longer then 5 months. Is it worth the chance? to pay 200 for deduct and then HOW know how much they will charge me if i loose my licends. or just save slow and fix it my self.

uh, could you do the good 'ol parking lot deal?

park @ a shopping center that doesn't have a camera system and then call the police from there stating that you came out from shopping and found your car like it is.

just don't be dumb enough to wash it and make it look like an old accident
and make sure that you buy something from the store to make it look all believeable

someone hits my car and attempts to leave, they will be chased and annihilated

don't do insurance fraud..... That will get you in more trouble if you get caught.... It's not worth it... Just go report it.

And really, you are SOL now since you didn't report it right away.

why would you not report it right away? i mean, christ, even with no witnesses, if you had the make/model/color of the car that hit you its better than diving off and pondering about what to do now. if you didn't do anything wrong, then you have nothing to worry about...

you should have taken care of it right then and there. i mean, you have a cell phone right?

Even if you don't claim it, you're better off reporting it first. If they do it, then you're in for it.

What do you report? "I was driving without a license and some broad hit me and took off."
Cop: "That's too bad, you say you were driving without a license? We'll be right there."
You: Arrested for being a moron.

I think this is an expensive lesson for you. The fallout of driving without a license will probably cost you more than fixing the car. So really, be glad she didn't stop or you would have been screwed right there.

Congrats on screwing yourself over.

You pretty much lost all chances of your insurance believe someone else hit you and run and now looks like you were involved in an incident at your own cost.

Now you will probably have to pay your decutible if you have full coverage. if you only have liability your SOL.

Only problem with that is, if insurance finds out he was driving without a license, then they probably won't cover it.

is the damage more costly than your deductable? if not, then you may as well just have it fixed and not mess with it. I was under the impression that you had just gotten your license back, but i mis-read what ya typed so if you don't have a license, then ur kinda screwed either way.

and btw, I've never done insurance fraud because my car only has PLPD and it wouldn't benefit me. I know about it because I know quite a few people who have done it over the years

Here's what you do: Report it!!! It dosen't matter if you lost you license before or not. Someone has commited a crime by leaving the scene of an accident, in which they were at fault. If you were smart enough to get the make, model, color, and/or the license plate number then this is a simple case. Better report it now then to have them report it as a hit and run, and you have to defend yourself...better off the other way around I'd say. If it had been me I would have followed them beat the shit out of them and then called the cops, and would have told them he sustained the injuries during the accident. Good luck, and don't be a Punk and not report it....get your money man!
