HID Headlights

For those with HID's, how do you have the ballasts wired? Did you just plug the 9006 plug for the bulb into the ballast or was there a different way to wire it in?

the ballast comes with one cord connected to it witch has a positive and negative plug at the end, this connects to the HID bulb, then you plug the HID harness into the ballast, and the other end of the harness to the positive and negative on the stock wire harness, pretty dummy proof.

I'm running HIDs on my Park Ave, 9006 outlet. I had to flip the + and - wires at the plug into the headlight power wire. They came wired backwards, which I think is a trend with these to need to have the + and - switched.

Aside from that it's all plug n play.

Except I didn't buy an aftermarket plug and play kit, I'm using OEM ballasts from an Infiniti G35, so it's not so dummy proof. I know what cords plug into where, I'm just wondering about the wires coming from the stock 9006 plug for the bulb going to the ballast...getting power to the ballast is what I need.

What I did was cut the 9006 plug off to leave just the two wires going into it. Then I connected those wires to the power wires going into the ballast, but with no luck...it ended up popping the fuse. Tomorrow I'll try switching the positive and negative wires around. I switched them today, but the fuse might have been blown already from the first way I tried, so that didn't work either.

I have an extension on my 9006 plug (with the female on one side, male on the other). The 9006 plug right into the Hella Gen 3 ballast.
