Shaved doors

I am going to be shaving the doors as soon as i pick up an autoloc kit. My question is do you think i could use a reed switch in line with the autoloc relay to activate the solenoid?

Dont steal my idea! lol

I just think using a reed switch would be pretty BA.

My friend did this with his 67 camero. And its pretty cool, beware of friends who feel the need to mess with your car though. I will spare you the details, but one of his friends let loose a box of crickets in his car... it sucked bad, we are still finding crickets in there, and it was a couple months ago.

It seems like a cool idea, but I would think it would be too sensitve. I have no experience with reed switches though. I think that would be a great idea as a backup to unlock your car though (provided you have a keyless entry system already)
