Rim Caps

Can you get different caps for the stock rims of an Alero.. so it "looks" like you have new rims?

EDIT: Wait, you mean you have HUBcaps, and want to get a different hubcap? Then yes, you can. I thought you were talking about the CENTER caps in the stock wheels. If you're rolling on steelies, better to just put the money away towards some real wheels.

it looks like he has actual rims....

and as far as i know, you can't just change the center lug covers.... i have 2 different sets of stock rims, and even their center caps aren't interchangeable.

changing out the center caps that cover the lugnuts with something aftermarket so it "looks" like you have different/cool new wheels.

if there was a "universal" tire that could have something put on it to make it look like your changing your rims... when your actually just covering your lugs... isn't a TERRIBLE idea. probably make some money off inventing that...

oh wait.... hubcaps already exist.

ion, stop bashing the kid. its not the DUMBEST ever, we've all read worse.. when your young and don't make enough cash to really be able to feasibly save alot, you dream of cheap things to hopefully make it look better.

One of my caps in chipped and looks bad and I figured I might as well see if I could just replace them.

and its not that, I just hate the olds symbol... i love the cars though :-/

you MIGHT be able to swap with another version of olds center cap....

but it looks like you have the shinier silver/chrome/whatver rims, where mine are just the plain cheap ones.... i don't think there were different versions of the shinier ones. i could be wrong.

you can replace the cap with the same thing... but at the cost, why bother?

I stated an opinion, changing center caps out to make it "look" like you have cool wheels is a dumb idea, period. Just because cherry comes in and tells me to stop bashing you doesn't mean I even bashed you, I said the IDEA was dumb, to change out center caps to make it look like you have new wheels is, frankly, a dumb idea.

If you have the rims I have, you could probably just pop the olds symbol off.... I don't know if it can be done as I never tried, but you could look into that.... Are these the ones you have???

Just from looking at that it looks like if your were able to pop it off there would still be an oval impressin there, and would have to make something custome to go in there. Personally I would leave it alone. Unless they make a complete replacement which I doubt.
