If u have a sunroof.. then u don't have it because the motor and sunroof switch is in that area. If u don't have a sunroof, then u have a overhead compartment.

I don't have a sunroof or the overhead console.

It depends of the year I think. Earlier Alero have them, but not the last years. I do have it in my 2000. Anyways, theres nothing much you can put into this without having it falling down when you accelerate.

Correct me if I'm wrong.

It depends on the trim package. i would bet the the ones without the overhead compartment also lack the cup holder cover, and possibly the tweeters in the door pods... mabye even the lights in the mirror...

I dont have the map lights in my mirror, but I do have the cup holder cover, the ash tray and the original tweeter pods(but I think the tweeters were installed by the previous owner)

the compartment is actually mounted on there with two washers the on the other side of the headliner, and on the rear it has 2 clips like what the a-pillar has on it. like the push on clips or whatever theyre called. ive taken a few off at the junkyards and broken every one of them trying to remove the washers from the plastic. hope this answered the question you guys had.
