Bra for 2001 alero GLS Sedan

Hey all,

I was thinking of adding a bra. I saw this and was wondering if anyone had preferances of other products or comments?

if your hood is really rusty, and you want to hide it, then sure.

but they scratch your paint all to crap. most people on here will tell you to avoid them.

If you must use one, do not use the part that covers the hood! It will flap in the wind and scratch the crap out of your hood. The lower portion, I would only recommend for use on highway trips to reduce stone chips or bugs. Do not leave it on for extended periods of time.

$85 is better spent towards a turbo kit fund that you will never buy, but you have a fund for it sitting there doing nothing.

As a bra owner unfortunately because of a slight fender bender, I must say that I like it. Now if you have to get one I would make sure it comes with the spoilers to keep the bra down during driving. I will tell you that it will mess up your paint, by fading it. I have yet to see it cause any scratches, but here is a pic of what it would look like.

Tints probably coming soon too :<) I got the stock 6 spoke chrome rims on it they look nice enough for me though atm. Although I wouldn't mind putting some new calipers and slotted rotors on it though the stock stuff looks ugly with all that space to see them thru. . I had a bra on a T-Bird I had. I never had any problems with it. I got it from my father but damned if I can remember the brand on it.

It doesn't matter if it has the little spoilers on it. Over time it will stretch out and scratch the crap out of your hood. the darker the color the more noticeable the scratches.

I ordered mine from GM, it is a 2 pc version. I use the bottom portion and dumped the hood piece.

From what I have seen from working in the autobody industry, bras are no good. Ya they may protect from rock chips but in the long run they induce rusting on the hood becasue the bra will hold the moisture and cause moisture ingress. As well the paint will fade under the bra.

I've had mine for 3yrs and it hasn't flopped once. I have yet to see one scratch. However with that said, like I said before it will fade the paint hands down if you don't take it off when you was and wax the car.

No need to apologize, but not everybody is going to like it, and there are some that will. The only reason I have it is because the paint on the front end is already messed up.

There is a reason its called a bra.

Bras for bad looking tits make them look better. If the tits look good already they don't need a bra haha

You may just have a nipple that is off. Atleast they aren't sagging
