Temp issue

Hey all,

OK so as I was relating in my opening hello My car was running a little hot it seemed to me. I took her in to the GM dealer since I have a warranty in case Anything needed changing it might be easier to just have dealer take care of the warranty stuff. They stated and paperwork shows operating engine temp. 195-205 Deg. before and after t-stat replacement. They said it might be a "sticking" t-stat but I think that's just the temp range LOFL. Ran about same same as before. I also had a flush and refill done since I had no idea what the previous owner used. Price for t-stat $19.54. Price for labor $264.... 0.o.. Warranty took care of all but $100 and since I was nearby I went and threw a bitch at the Hyundai dealership where I bought it telling em about the 1 quart overfill on the oil too. They took care of my $100 Deductible :<). Although I still got juiced for $157.00 for the flush at least I won't have to worry about over heating going to my new job next week, and if it does I' am blowing the mfer up and making em pay for it :<). Really glad I got the warranty for it though was very easy they took care of everything.

P.S.
The multi-point vehicle inspection turned up squat to fix. I think the guy was kinda bummed LOL. He said he thought for sure he'd find somthing wrong like the LIMG or the Wheel bearings or hubs.

You paid $157 to get a flush done? You got raped. Its like a 65-75 dollar bill usually.

Actually I did price checks before I took my ride in. I called 4 differant places and for just a drain & fill it was $90 at each place. I' am assume that any quote for a flush would have been higher and not included the flush solution & kit, coolent, cap either. The flush was $85 in parts $72 in labor but yes I agree dealer mark-up is a bit higher by about $5-$6 per part. I looked em up. Although to be honest I would rather have a GM guy working on my ride :<). I truely believe in the you get what you pay for rule. Well as long as you find a good dealer anyways.
