Turbo Ecotec w/Auto
I am just wondering if anyone has turboed a 2.2 Ecotec. And if they have what parts are needed to preform this mod? I have done some searching on this site but it seems that most of the turbo cars are standard or V6's. Is there anything out there for the auto ecotec.

there's literally hundreds to thousands of boosted j-bodies with the 2.2L Ecotec engine. search and learn.

Btw I wished there was a setup out there too. I dont understand the tuning too much, only thing that keeps me away from S/Cing my ecotec.

you get it reflashed, the supercharger kits come with a reflash that the dealer does, that's all the tuning you need...

Unfortunately they only support the J-bodies on that one.

There seems to be alot of stuff for the standard guys, but I have the auto. I would like to see if anybody has done a turbo with automatic, not the standard 5 speed. All the sites seem to mention stuff for 5 speed and nothing for the auto.

Yes you can go turbo with an automatic. Anything that will work with a 5 speed will work with the auto except for charge pipes. A lot of guys with the 5 speed run the hot side charge pipes (turbo to intercooler) under the engine. The auto transmission is so big that charge pipes won't fit under the engine, so you'd just have to run them through the engine bay.
Just look for information on turbocharging the engine and everything will work just fine with the auto.
One thing I would reccomend for the auto is the B&M Shiftplus. It'll raise the line pressure and make the transmission shift much harder and faster. Also, if you're going with a more serious build or going racing with the car, a transmission fluid cooler is a must.
