Face gauges installed
So my face gauges came in and finally installed them. I know you guys probably seen these type before but im still gonna throw up a pic.
[IMG] [/IMG]
There were kinda of easy to install but, getting them aligned up just right was a paint in the butt for me. But if anybody gonna change the face gauges in their HO here are a couple tips from me:
Dont forget double sided tape..I had to mad dash to walmart to get some in the middle of my project
And alot of people wondered how to wire these up and alot did the positive wire to the cubby light to a chassis ground...but instead if you want you can splice the positive wire in the wiring harness that plugs out the cluster. The grey wire is the hot wire for the instrumentation lighting power and the black wire w/ the white stripe is the ground. Was real easy to do
here is a quick link to thread with the link to some good instructions
http://www.aleromod.com/forums/showt...light=overlays
When it get dark ill take a couple of night pics
UPDATE:
Here are the night pics in both colors...little hard to see though
here it is in blue mode:
here they are green:

Yeah I had a hell of a time trying to line them up. I notice one slid down a little and just need to make the time to pull it out and fix it.

comes on randomly, due to tapping off the O2 sensor wire. same thing happened to a ton of people on j-body, and Alerosaint, when he tapped off for the A/F gauge. says P0171, lean, whatev.

Heck, I can get over 650Km to a tank on my '99 Alero, which is around 400 miles, and I have the 3400!! Of course that is one solid highway driven trip with cruise set to around 60mph.

It all depends how i drive...I drive pretty hard and on the way to FL and its not straight and level...there are quite a bit of up and down rolls especially in the early part of I-10 off of I-75 going to jax...then i dont start my trip button at house i do it part way of the trip...so im sure i get at least 300 a tank but i will calculate it next time i go down
