i got mine from FBI. great poppers, great people from there. i got a HEFTY discount, i think much cheaper than what bdyman paid. i got my popper for like 40 and the brain(keyless entry module) for like 20, although i didnt use the module they sent, i used the stock. but i know FBI has a lot of specials on shaved handle kits, so i'd call em up.
I didn't use poppers(springs) on mine. JUST the solenoids. and mine are 35 lb. solenoids.
and i only did the front 2. its cheaper and i rarely use my rear doors and when i do all i gotta do is reach around, the handle is RIGHT there. i might someday add some to the rear doors, but it really isnt a big deal.
If you have any other questions feel free to PM or hit me up on aim.

by the way, FBI is Fender Bender International. http://www.fbimini.com
i forget the manager i talked to when i ordered but they are all cool people there.
http://www.fbimini.com/products_deta...?item_no=dp102
they have a good deal goin on right now. that doesnt include the brain. i'd sell you mine dirt cheap if you want one tho....if i can find it.
http://www.fbimini.com/products_deta...?item_no=dp101
^ thats the whole kit i got. i think i even got the instructions they sent, they werent the best but then again, your average joe schmoe shouldnt be shaving door handles now should they.
oh yea, one last thing, i got mine the day after i ordered.

Be prepared to be told that all the Solenoids that you can buy are pretty much made by the same company - THIS IS NOT TRUE. I completely agree with the previous posters about SPAL having a great kit, and Autoloc being not as good, though they do make a decent product. FBI Mini has one of the best priced kits that I have seen, but last time I checked they didint include a brain/control unit. If you have or are planning on doin an alarm, or any sorta keyless entry or remote starter, now is the time to do it (I would suggest the ever famous Compustar 2way system) and use that as your control unit - it will allow for a bundle of open channels to have fun with

lol, i'd buy the poppers from fbi and get an alarm or buy my extra keyless entry module for like 10 bucks if i was you. i have NEVER had any problems with fbi's solenoids and they cheap as hell.
fbi does have a full kit but it is more than spal's i think.

I used the stock remote. it worked just fine. you can buy my brain from my kit if you want. it'll be a week or 2 till i get home again to get it out of the attic. so if you're in a hurry or somethin either use the stock remote, or but an alarm, go with the SPAL kit, whatever floats you bunnyin boat.

We have 15lb poppers on the 53 Buick, front doors only, with a spring, works great. (No remote, just button) Doesn't seem right having a keyless on a '53. hehe
