Hello!!!
Nice to have some fellow Alero owners out there. I came to the site to find others who have tried to install an aftermarket stereo. Mine wont fit so I'm using a razor blade to cut around the dash so the new stereo faceplate trim will fit. Hopefully this will work, otherwise a custom black trim to cover the silver frame might be in order. Let me know if any of you have solved this dilemma. I'll send pictures if I take this course.
Later,
sammyj

before you start cutting... there is a black plastic piece behind the radio, that usually needs to go.
it'll give you about another 1/2" of room...
oh, and welcome.
