6X9 are not loud at all

Hey I have some Boston Accoustics for my rear speakers and for some reason, they are not as loud as the front stock speakers. You can't hear any of the vocals coming from the rear speakers. I have a KD-HDR1 head unit that I didn't install. Is it possible something got messed up during installation of the deck?

Turn up the rear fade? Lol. There's adjustments for what bias you want the power to be spread through.

If you have the monsoon system, you're pretty much screwed and that might be why. It could be something easy like the fade though...check that first and then open your trunk and pull back the carpet on the drivers side and see if there's a black box in there...if so, let us know and there's some ways to get around the thing.

I did not see the amp behind the carpet. It is not the fade, When I turn the music to fade all the way to the rear only, it still sounds like you can't hear vocals at all.

Also check the connections on the speakers themselves. There might be an exposed wire making contact with another piece of metal.

Trust me, I have. I have tried all the EQ's also. Stock front speakers sound 10000X better then the Boston Accoustics.

are they the correct ohms (or at least similar rating to the previous ones)

are the wires connected properly?

and if you swap the old ones back in, do they still sound better, or do they sound horrible too? they might just be bad speakers

Ryan from Ohio will become famous soon enough
Its not wired correctly.

Pull the radio out and verify the wires are run properly. Also verify the wires are proper on the speakers. Outside of that you way have ashorted wire somewhere, but highly unlikely.
