Heat/ AC problems
I have a quick question... For a while now, I have only had three speeds working on my ac unit. Medium, medium high, and high. the lower speeds do not work at all. Is this a problem with the controls in the dash, or is it a fan issue? It's not really a big deal, but if it's something small and inexpensive to fix, then I'd like to get it fixed.... So is it the fan or controller?

Dude, I think you are on here for long enough to first : know how to search, and second : know about the blower motor resistor problem with Aleros...
FAIL!

It's at most $25 for the part according to rockauto.com....
I'll ask this question then, where is this resistor located, and is it easy to get to and replace?

I'm having the same problem, I took apart the controls and tried to clean all the terminals, thinking maybe they were corroded or something, but that didn’t help.

From that site, it looked like a couple different brands with different prices... I'll most likely just get the cheaper one.... No sense in getting one more expensive that does the same thing. lol Thanks for the heads up bdyman about it being a pain to get to.

Yea, Passenger side behind the carpet half way up the fire wall. It has 2 lil bolts holding it on. Its a PITA to get to and get out, You can get the part at autozone for about 18 bucks.
