6x9 troubleshooting

I just installed my new deck, amp, and 6x9's in my 2003 Alero. The amp is a four channel with two channels bridged to a 12" inch sub, and the other 2 channels each connected to a 6x9. When i turn on the amp, the 6x9's emit a high pitched noise while the sub works wonderfully. What are some possible reasons for this problem. Thanks

something not grounded??

something shorted? double check your wiring/connections


if you reverse the connections on the amp, does it still do it?
(swap where the sub is, with where the 6x9s are)

Are you sure the amp is 3 way capable?

Yeah it turns out i had to ground the rca cables to the back of my pioneer deck.
