what wheels and tires does everyone recommend to get? im thinkin the 18x8 eagle alloy series, polished. seems to be a favorite of people here. not too sure about tires tho. i talked to a mechanic and he said that wheels that big may cause the speedometer to read incorrectly...has anyone noticed that? or heard anything about it? overall, is smooth transition from factory wheels to 18's?? thanks

I have the exact rims you are thinking about getting, and they are really nice rims. They are a huge PITA to keep clean, but when they are cleaned they look great.

My speedo is around 2 mph off at 60. Its really not that big of a deal IMO. I have 235/40/18 tires. I definately suggest getting 235 width on 8" wide rims, otherwise they will look stretched out.

I got Sumitomo HTR+ tires from Tirerack.com, and I definately reccomend these tires to everyone I talk to. They are great all-season tires, and they look pretty good. If you do decide to buy through tirerack, please support the site by clicking through the banner ad on the homepage for tirerack. Thanks!
