Few Questions About Cold Air

Is it really supposed to be that loud?

It sounds damn good and throaty, but I didn't think it would make that much of a difference

It makes a bit of a turbo like blow off sound when you first get into it and lay off if it. Is that normal?

No service engine soon lights or anything, so I know it's doing allright. I'm just curious about the noise, I mean, it sounds like I just put exhaust on it.

Yeah, it's loud on mine too. I think it's normal. Well on mine you don't really hear it good until about 3000rpms and up. Pretty damn sweet if ya ask me. B)

Hell, I love it. I just wanted to know if it was supposed to be THAT loud.

When I took a ride with a friend after I just got it, I laid into it and he's like "holy crap, my brother's tricked out civic sounds wimpy compared to this"....and I'm like.....oooohhh yeeeaaaahh!! B)

lol my buddy has a grand am gt and rode in my car and couldnt belive how much different the sound was

What kind is it??? Where did you get it and how long did it take you to get it? I ordered from APOC in april 2003 and still haven't got it and I was told 3 weeks ago it was sent. Isn't that unusual?

It's a Doctor / Alerospeed one, I bought it used off 02 Black GLS in the forums

I would say that is pretty unusual. PM Springs Fastest Alero, and hopefully he can help you out.

i need to talk to springs about the coupler between the TB and the MAF. i dont think a normal coupler will work if you want the battery to fit. i'm having probs <_<

oh, and mine makes a turbo blowoff "chirp" when you punch it too... just air rushing quickly in, perfectly normal.

Have you tried loosening the couplers and wiggling the CAI pipes around a bit? It is going to be tight, but it fit in my car and it fit in jsciano's car. You shouldn't have to get any other parts...
