svs trac and abs lights

Hi Guys.

I have read about bad wheel speed sensors/bearings. sort of another post on the subject but not really.

the other day driving to work my SVS, abs, and trac lights came on. based on reading this is either a bearing/wiring issue need to get it checked out.

for my real question. I do not care about ABS or Traction control. i tried pulling the fuses to turn of all the stupid lights. but when i tried my red brake light sign on the dash came on.. is there anyway to completely disable ABS and Traction control and not have any idiot lights on the dash. THis is my first car with ABS and Trac and I hate it. plus my car drives better now that the electronic nannies dont work

thanks

how do you disable the whole system and not have any light s on the dash

or can you short the wheel speed sensors?

Get the hubs fixed and no more lights

It's dangerous to let this go

Even if you disconnect your abs at the hub, I think the light will come on

yes it is dangerous... i let it go and it wound up costing my a driving too fast for conditions and a bill to fix the whole side of a state trooper.

thanks guys.

i will be fixing this fairly soon. I do a lot of the work on the car myself. I do not know which wheel bearing/speed sensor is causing the problem and i only have a regular OBII code reader and it does not read ABS codes. Does anyone on here know of a code reader/programmer that can be run from a laptop. the cable from my obdII code reader can be connected to a computer so i am basically looking for the software. worst case do you know who makes a inexpensive scanner that will read these codes

thanks
