how to?
A couple days ago i bought new spark plugs and have been trying to change them and before you say anything yes i did use the search button well for the life of me and cant get the boots over the spark plugs in the back off i just cant get the leverage to pull them off and it doesnt help that they've been on there or 9 years any tips on how to get them off.

when i bought mine it was the same thing. The original factory ones were still in there.

To get the back three off i ended up taking out the alternator and then i had enough leverage to pull them out.

Needle nosed pliers seem allitle to aggressive, would'nt they harm the boot?

It's what I used when I first started as a tech, before I got a spark boot pliers. Just grab in the middle of the boot. And you should probably get new wires anyway. Chances are that because there so old the metal internal piece of the boot will stick on the plug.

Valid point but i am unemployed not made of money so i try and keep costs to a minimum.(call it cheap)

WIGGLE THE BOOT< THEN, Twist the boot, then pull... just breaking the seal from all the heat and the lack of grease on the boot.......

Those wires need to be replaced.

If you can get a can of WD 40 back there it makes rubber real slippery. Use it on hoses all the time. Easy on, easy off.

ya... did my friends 3100 series motor... two wouldn't come off and when they did the wires were effed... so just put new ones on.
