Pioneer AVIC F900bt

Does anyone on here have the Pioneer AVIC F900bt head unit installed? If so, post pics so i can see! I have one but was told it wouldn't fit so didnt even bother with it. But if anyone has it installed post pics and tell if you had to do any cutting or anything to get it in. Thanks.

You could always check crutchfield.com and see if they sell that model, then see if they list it as compatible with an Alero of your year. Should also list if you need any special harnass or anything like that.

Some people have the Kenwood Double Dins installed but that pioneer looks to be too wide.

Take a tape measure and have a look.

Should fit.

You will have to do some chopping on the radio bezel though. Those big round corners where the radio is will become a problem.

Theres the usual plastic in the rear and the metal piece that probably need to be removed also.

Alright, thats really what i wanted to hear from someone who knows what they're talkin about before i go messin with everything. "should fit". lol. So another question Ryan. Could you get me ALL the original wiring for that head unit? And for how much? My cousin totalled his truck and i ripped out the radio right on the spot. I was in a hurry before they towed it so most of the wires broke and snapped off. lol. Im gonna upload pics of the truck too just because im extremely bored.

You will have to buy that stuff from E Bay or Pioneer directly.

^no, its the grill broken out and hanging there. Thats how they looked then, like my dads 95 ranger.

See?

He must have really been going for it to catch hard enough to hit the one back corner before anything.

Yep, that's the grill hangin. lol. It's hard to explain how he hit the ditch. But if you look further back, there is a bent pole. That's where he hit initially. He was spinning out and went into the ditch backwards, thus the crushed in back right side. Then the truck spun around twice and stopped where it was. I was driving behind them when it happened. I saw from a distance. The girl in the passenger wasn't wearing her seatbelt and flew into the windshield. You can't see at all in the pic but the whole windshield is shattered from her head slammin into it. Damn it mustv'e sucked. lol

Damn, brings back memories, my Mom rolled her white '96 Explorer with my brother and I passengers. What a experience that was.

Looked similar to the picture you posted, only the roof looked like a V after the rollover lol.

Alright. I got it in perfect. It fits fine. But the only problem is i don't have a way to mount it. In the picture you can see the holes for screws on the side of the unit. But how would i mount that to the original holes on the car?

You will have to custom make your own brackets.

Well i used some angle iron and mad my brackets and they work pretty good. Its reall ghetto but it holds it and supports it pretty good. but I'd rather use an actual mounting kit that jayson just mentioned. I'll get some pics up a little later when it stops raining.

the site syas this one works for an alero. Your gonna have to trim the corners on your radio bezel piece though, probably already had to do it just to get the radio in anyways.
