Doing some tint
So I am hoping that maybe this thread can be dedicated to helping hints and tricks when it comes to doing tint.
So yes as that first thing said, any and all tips and tricks to doing tint would be amazing here. I am going to be doing some tint work real soon here.

I build alot of model airplanes, and that usually involves alot of waterslide decals...so when I did some tinting on my ho, I found the process to be very similar. For the 2 smaller rear windows (on the coupe) I traced the shape of the windows on some paper to make a pattern, then I could cut the tint to the proper size in the comfort of my man-cave. Application was messy, but fun...just made sure I got the inside of the window nice and wet, slid the tint film on, carefully worked out all the excess air bubbles and water with a plastic scraper (a credit card will do) and then let it sit.

Is there any other kind of window tint?!
First, it helps if you have the time to remove a bunch of the trim/ door panel to get to the window better... more room to work on it.
Make sure when you're cutting the initial shape to do a very good job on the sides...
Clean and wet the inside, apply the tint and get it in place. Roll the window down a bit, and use your razor to cut the top about 1/8" below the top of the window. Squeegee the top bit on, then roll it back up. Now trim the bottom of the tint so it'll stick down about 1/4" below where the felt thing on the bottom starts (IIRC you can remove this piece.. makes it much easier...) then sueegee that part down bit to hold it in place.
Now make sure it's still nice and wet.. roll it back down a bit so you can get to the top part. Start from the middle and squeegee out, working out the airbubbles. Be careful on big air bubbles to make sure they don't crease (if it does you gotta start over).
Now, once it's mostly done, you'll have finger popping up.. usually on the bottom and top. These are a PAIN to get rid of the last few, and it all comes down to technique to get them out. I always try to chase them to the sides, where they seem to be easier to deal with.

Good post dude  Especially the part where he said "it helps if you have the time to remove a bunch of the trim/ door panel to get to the window better... more room to work on it". if you wanna make sure the front windows turn out perfect then take the glass out! i'd imagine there are two 10mm bolts holding the glass in? lol thats what i would do but idk how the coupe is set up.  anyways...good luck

yeah thats how the front two windows in my four door got done. I am still trying to figure out how to pull the back two windows out of place, but I cant figure it out. Please  if anybody knows how to take that out that would be amazing.

But on topic, tinting the side windows will be no problem at all. Its just the rear that will be a pain, which is the only reason i haven't done mine.

Don't take out the windows.. just remove trim on the inside, you will have lots of room.
A tint shop prob wouldn't charge alot to do the small windows tho... are you doing the rear yourself???

that is what i am doing having a tint shop tint my car i am terrible at it. I tried to tint my windows and the tint flew off on the highway so i think that I will leave it to the professionals to tint my car.

^what? the tint goes on the inside of the window buddy, how would it fly off on the highway?
BTW, pretty sure those rear quarter windows are just glued in like the windshield. The rear doors should be about the same as the front doors. but there is no reason to take the windows out, just pull off all the plastic trim around them and the weather stripping stuff right by the door windows and you will have plenty of room

I was a noob when I put the tint on the first time the second time I put the tint on the insde of the window and it worked fine.
