Where to tap power from
Ok so this thread is dedicated to people just letting us all know where your tapping into 12 volt power, for things like LED's and what not.
It would be kinda neat to know where everybody is getting their power from.
Also is it possible to add more places for powered fuses, so that you can power LED's straight from that powered circut?

I use a fuse tap (the good kind that slide over a tab, not the BS push in beside the fuse ones) on any fuse really that has power all the time, then ran to a switch on my dash. I think my led's are actually hooked into the interior lights fuse, which seems like an appropriate place.
You could also run a power wire from the battery and add a little cheap fuse box from radioshock or where ever under the dash if you wanted lots of other sources.

ok so i was just thinking about the whole thing about bring power in from a constant source. well like having it under that one thing where the power from the battery goes to all the fuses in the engine. would i be able to just throw a line with a fuse in it from there into the car and then use that as a power and then just ground the other line or how would that work?

gray wires (thumbs up)
i draw some power from the wires that went to the annoying cubby light
so from a wire tap into the ciggaretlighters if i want a constant
headunit, uses the sunroof fuse(i dont have a sunroof but theres a working fuse there)

Then the orange wire behind the radio is for you. Constant 12 V
I only hooked up gauges and I want them off when the car's off
