Windshield Wiper
Ok, how do i fix this? The drivers-side windshield wiper is just swinging freely now.
As you might know the southeast just got blanketed in 7 inches of snow where I'm at, and I've never had to drive my car in snow before. I started by wiping all the snow off of my windshield with my arm and got most of it. They i flipped on my wipers. they came up fine but when they went down they got stuck on the snow they had been under. Then as i was driving the passenger one popped up working again and got caught with the driver-side one.
Upon looking at it in the cold i don't know what is wrong. It looks like that nut thing could be broke but i don't think the arm is turning either.
what do i do?

this is not being mean, but check the retaining nut on the wiper arm spindle, it could have dislodged and is now letting the arm swing freely...

it did, i fixed it hours ago, but good thing is if this happens to anyone else itll come up under search. Just remove the wipers, and that cover and reattached.
I was annoyed the problem was so simple but happy wallet wise
