What are you doing with the twincam engine? Is it good or whats wrong with it? I would like to know as I am needing (yet) another engine. I have no idea as what is wrong with mine...Too tired of messing with it and havent had time to look into it.
Thanks,

I'm sure you've done all the research and realize that you need to also swap in the harness and PCM along with it. Just sayin.
Good luck, and welcome to the V6 crowd!

Maybe he already has the stuff on hand to do it (from another wrecked car he has?) and doesn't have the money to go get his blown engine rebuilt? Just a guess. However, it's hilarious that you say that with the connotation of it being a bad thing.

Yep im puttign my 3100 in it. Well its not a 3400 but i "KNOW" for a fact this motor is good put new heads on it a year ago redid all the gaskets on the engine at the same time, went to and from texas 3 times last year on that motor. But yeah i did all the research befor i even thought about the swap harness,BCM,CPU and a few other things are all going onto the alero i was messuring the mounts all the same. Going about it the right way i hope lol

3100 FTL. my LD9 Alero stock > a 3100 Lumina with full exhaust/intake @ the track.
edit: kudos for originality though!

I don't think he was trying to "wow" anybody. You'd have to have followed the other thread where he had a blown motor in his alero, and a wrecked cutlass.

true...I'm just saying, back against the wall, it's okay. Nobody should be making this swap because they think 3100>LD9. Plus, I guess you can fix it up for some minor performance upgrades inexpensively.
