Does it look like a decent intake for the money i dont know much about these things so any info or opinions appreciated.

I have that exact same thing. I removed my stock intake box to install it, though. It comes with a cone filter (mine is blue), a slightly bent 3" diameter aluminum pipe, one coupler, and two fittings if you tell the guy you have a 2.4L Alero. Don't forget to disconnect your negative battery terminal to reset the computer to adjust to the new airflow. It makes a good bit of extra noise and I do notice a slight increase in acceleration even on a hot day. It will pay for itself in the long run since all you have to do is clean the filter every so often instead of having to buy a new filter every 10k miles.
