Thumbs up

I've noticed since I got my car that the rear defrost when turned on will cause my AM/FM Stereo to become nothing but static. Anyone else notice this problem??? I have a 2002 Alero.

Yeah I posted on this before the board got wipped. FM is static when rear defrost is on. AM is fine, CD is fine. Let me know when you got it solved lol.

I just think it is the fact we have built in antennas. And the dealership also said something about faulty wiring....?

Ill probably bring my car in a week or so to have it diagnosed. More of a nuisance than a necessity as my rear defrost still works. Morning radio is pretty lame anyways.

Rear defrost and inline antenna run through the same little black box. It's on the passenger side c-pillar, under all the plastic trim. Check out the Defogger thread in this section, someone bypassed the thing I think. Chances are you've got a short or cross or something melted in there, 'cause that's where the two meet.

As it was said above, check this thread for more info, and keep us updated if / when you get it fixed.
