I had a brief chat with alero_bmxer. He has a 2.4 with a Magnaflow 2.5 single in and 2.5 dual out. Also, there might be a need for a reduction pipe to fit from stock, but it looks like a sweet set-up to me, and he said it sounds awesome.

All I can tell for sure is that a resonator of some sort is necessary near the cat to reduce a lot of the annoying overtones. Past that the Flowmaster Hushpower series gives the smoothest V8-style sound I've heard. Also depends a lot on what is feeding it, I'm using Pacesetter headers and a non-restrictive cat...
Wish I could help more (on my second full exhaust setup on this car). Sound clips will be made the next day I spend at the welders place - promise.

but for everyone else. it has a CAI and stock everything from headers back, the guy im getting it from has a 3.4 and the shop he got his work done at just did a nice little "bolt on" kind of deal so that if he got any pressure from cops he could go back to stock fairly easily

Unless you're doing a complete exhaust I'd stay away from the Magnaflow muffler. It will sound way too raspy.
A Dynomax Super Turbo would be a much better choice, in my opinion. They sound really nice without being overly loud.
