so after ordering all the parts, and getting my head back from the machine shop. just as i was cleaning the block surface to put on the new head, i see this

So effing lame... a nice crack right through the edge of the number 4 piston

so now my LD9s kicked back another few days

Just be happy you caught it now and not in a few weeks when it torched itself.

yea like i said i was literally 30 seconds away from sealing the new head on there. guess im gunna drop more than i wanted to and get a set of forged pistons/rods... now i have an excuse to slap on my baby garrett

nah my sisters POS taurus took a dump and she needed a car for school, so i gave her my sedan and bought this alero. what was supposed be to a simple head jobs turning into a full on build
