First time posting in here so let me start out by saying HI to all and thanks for all the good info I got from the postings.

Ok, I just got a new Clarion 545 pro audio mp3 deck installed in my alero <2001 2.4L, 4 door<-- I have a baby no 2 doors for me> the deck face is made to be removalable but the way it seems to be installed I can not remove the face.

I asked the guy who installed it if he could just pull the deck out about 1/4" so that when I press the button in to remove the face it will pop off. He informed me that it is mounted through the back of the stero housing and not through the front and that I won't beable to remove the face.

Before I go removing the dash and junk to check and see if I can do this I wanted to ask u guys first, if that makes since. As I said the deck only needs to be moved maybe 1/4" if that so that when I push the release button I can remove the face.

Send a message via AIM to alero168
how do you load a cd? is it like you press the 'release' button and the face flips down? and then you see the eject button? or something else?

b/c i have a clarion and i press a release button to drop the face at a 90deg angle then i can eject it. if it's not this way then idk

Ok sorry for the confusion when I press the release button the face does nto drop down it should pull off from right to left , I was messing around with it before I came to work It looks like I can just dermel down the
the mount that it sits in and slide the HU through the front of the mount , when mounted through the back the HU does not come out enough to remove the face plate
