tsx projectors coming soon...
Here in a couple weeks ill be ordering tsx projectors and d2s hids and will make a set of projector headlights.
I'm going to do cms1 myself and found a way to make an even cut off so the light doesn't flare up at cut off. (They are common for that) I'm not really worried about the flare though so we will see.
Hopefully I can knock this project out pretty quick. Just gotta figure out how I'm going to do it. And I will take pictures of my work and make a how-to for everyone since no one has yet.
Wish me luck! If you have any opinions on how I should go about doing it that would be great.

Dont know if I already showed u this link http://www.nastyz28.com/
He is doing the same as u - only to a 7" round housing.
Perhaps you two should talk about this work.

I'm intrigued to see how you'll retain the adjustments....
I've seen it done, but others tend to just skip it all together.

DONT SKIP IT
The guy in the Camaro Forum also had a posting where he talked about the different option to run with - and described their pros and cons.
Have to look if I can find it. IF you want.

I wouldn't mind trying to put those HID projectors that move.... I saw a Buick with projector lenses... The guy started the car and the lights moved! (those ones that move to help you see the turns better)

To adjust the beam... some people go with fixed mounts after they install.. which is just dumb.

I too, would love this... BUT.. you'd have to have a MUCH more complicated install to get it done.

In my understanding - Nothing.
U stuck the D2S into the new projector and lock it - thats it. Like in the OEM ones.
If you look closely at the current headlights, u lock the 9006 (or H7) as in European models into the mirror part and cause your getting rid of the mirror and use projectors you need to fasten them to the housing.
Perhaps a long phone call with the guys at resto*something* is necessary to know what u really need and WHY.

Retrofit source? Haha and well the 9006 bulb locks in but also it has a plug that plugs into where a stock bulb would go.
Pull off rubber housing on back of headlight and there is a plug to the bulb. I don't think a d2s bulb would plug into That?

I think your going to just splice the wires. I'd look into that more though.
Look up the guys who have done projector retrofits on the site, and message them.

i will have to look more into that cherry.
chris - i looked through the threads on here. all i really saw was is that getting the adjustment right is the hardest part. once your done with that. work on the finished bezel and stuff.
im going to talk to the retrofit source tho and see what they can tell me about the d2s working with a 9006 plug.
