Hey. new just a few quick questions
Whats up everyone just thought i should say this is an awesome forum.
I have 2001 alero 2.4 i was driving and bottomed out at a bump in the road. It right behind the 2 front wheels i'm pretty sure, ever since i have had this rattling noise from the exhaust and every time my car is stopped in drive it rattles pretty loud. any help with this would be great thanks.
My blinkers also dont work sometimes but this forum has a lot of info on that.

my dad's truck had a horrible rattling coming from the exhaust for a while and it was from part of the heat shield cracking and breaking free...a small weld and it doesn't do it anymore

my gf had the same rattling noise on her old saturn. i ripped the shield out. no more rattle. but then again there were plenty more probs with it so she got a new car lol. as for your blinkers, get some blinker fluid. should solve all your problems

as far as the blinkers not working... IT's the hazard switch.... Easy fix. Only cost me like $30 or so, and 30 minutes of work.

thanks im gonna go get that welded real soon then.
so when i start it the rpms are kinda high around 1500 then it takes a minute to go to 100 is that normal? and i would definitely like to put some performance parts on it. it has 170,000 miles on it and i have to get the back breaks replaced and the suspension has been squeaking every time i hit a bump. and the tranny seems like it might be starting to go. but other than that do you think its worth it?

Fix what's broken first, then look at modding. As for the idle, if it's below about 50 degrees outside it runs rich for a while to warm up, so it's at a higher RPM (think choke on a carb, just computerized).

my heat shield rattled too after i put an aftermarket exhaust on... i just used 2 cotter pins to hold it.. works well.. thats the only thing i had around and didnt think about getting it welded at the time... but it works so cant complain.
