Shifter Knob Replacement

Ok, I read both shift knob threads but just have a simple question...

How do you get that little pin out that holds the knob on? Might be a dumb question, but I need to know. Does it pull straight out? Or slide out one side or the other? or push in? I can't figure it out.

pulls straight out, you can use pliers or some other sort of small tool to pry it out.

DONT LOSE IT

when i did mine it came right out by for my friends I had to pry with a vary small screwdriver then I finally get a good enough hold to get it the rest of the way with pliers. and for your new shift knob, if its held on by the 3 or 4 little screws, make sure you get them on tight! i learned the hard way, just dont strip them.
