Newbie from SW Michigan
Hello everyone, I'm Howard.
I was in need of a fuel efficient daily driver and recently traded my 88 Mustang LX 5.0 for an 02 GX Sedan, 5-Speed, 2.2, 95K and have been very pleased so far. I'm not really feeling the Tropic Teal color though. My plans are to keep it simple, sporty, but close to stock, since its my daily driver. I have a cracked door mirror so it was an excuse to order a pair of 99-01 Grand Am mirrors the other day. When spring hits, I plan to lower it, install a Razzi kit, light tint (15%), full exhaust, intake and probably some 19's. I also plan to supercharge it in the future also.
I'll upload some pics and post later today.

Yeah it's very addicting. I need AA for automotive mods lol. Stock in my eyes is not touching the engine or trans internals.

From checking around and seeing the different springs that are offered, none lower the car over 2 inches and I'm not a fan of wheel/fender gap. At first I wanted to go with 20's, but they'll hurt handling and wouldn't be wise on a daily driver. I may just go with 18's but again there's probably gonna be some wheel/fender gap, depending on tire size. I look at 19's as a happy median.

Nevermind, I just checked out the ASS link. I'm definitely down. Lansing's only an hour away from me. This actually motivates me to have my car ready for it.

Luckily its just surface rust. We get alot of lake effect snow and the roads are salted heavily. I plan to get it painted by spring.

Yeah I don't want to add much boost since I plan to keep the internals stock. Nothing over 5-6 psi. Shouldn't the internals be able to handle that?

it's not about boost pressure, it's about power
the supercharger is mild enough that it doesn't matter

So just out of curiosity; how much hp can a stock 2.2 handle before having to change internals?
