I can't catch any FM stations on my cd player, just one. I got a adapter but it didn't help. I'm trying to find some type of antenna that I won't have to drill into my car body or replace my back glass. Can someone tell me what kind I should get/use? Tried JCWhitney and AutoZone.

If it's an aftermarket radio you have to hook up the blue antenna lead coming out of the radio to the wiring harness. You won't get any reception if you don't do this.

I didn't have mine hooked up in the first place either and couldn't get poop. Hooked it up and everything came in perfectly. Things may have changed when the radios changed to RDS. I don't know I'm just stating my experiences with my car.

In my case, jam's right. Some people have closer radio stations than other people. It all depends on how close you are. Either way, what jam is explaining is that the actual antenna is in the rear window, and because of this, GM added an FM booster. Connecting the remote turn-on wire from your new deck to to that blue wire jam was talking about will send power to the booster, and help bring in stations that you normally wouldn't be able to get.

NOTE It's ok to run a "jumper" wire from said connection to the remote turn-on wire to your amp.

Could be that the radio is no good or very cheap. I have had two head units.

Pyramid CDR42DX CD player with AM/FM - Very cheap 79.00
Could get half the stations some would mix

Panasonic CQ-DF903U with Sirius satellite radio - Cost a bit more 300.00
Very clear radio get every station I turn to AM/FM. Over all the best head unit I have had yet.

What kind of head unit is it you have?
