fender side marker

I have seen a few of these, mainly on C.L. I know they are not standard equipment here in the U.S. but I believe some European countries require them?

FYI asked this question on C.O. forums but only theories!

Pic#1 was on C.L. and #2 is from somewhere in Europe.

LOL, a Chalero. All the ones sold in Europe have them. These may have been owned by someone in the military over in Europe and brought it back when they were transferred stateside. I have only seen one of these cars in person at a GM Training Center just outside of Chicago.

Yes the side marker is only on the Chevy Alero.

Another little fact about the Chevy Alero. Made in Lansing, and the Vin starts with 1G1 instead of the 1G3
