Head Light Problems

I had some aftermarket bulbs i put in my low beams....well after 7 months they finally broke my conncetions. So i have one drivers side low beam right now. How can I fix this because i think the wires are all connected inside the headlamp? Or can i just put a new end on?

how did it break your connection..........you mean it burnt your harness and now it doesnt work?? or did your socket get broken??

socket, part of it is still around the lightblub prong

i think i get what your saying, its like you have a male and female plug, and the male plug from your wire harness came out with the buld right?

unless you can figure out a way to get it back on there you are most likely going to have to go with a new harness........or you can take the short cut, go to a junk yard and just cut the plug off a junky and use that.......

if i still am not getting what your explaining then i dont know.........your explanations are a bit difficult......

yea you got it right! A part of the male part came off and is still in the bulb (female end). Maybe ill just have to get new wire harnesses.

lol yes! that was like winning the lottery........but um yea, that would be the proper way just replacing the harness and the most costly.......you can just buy another 9006 plug and you can pretty much find that off any car so finding that at a junkyard wouldnt be too hard.......you could go to a junk yard buy that piece for like 3 bucks.......use it as a temporary fix and save money every week for the harness........just a suggestion......

Same thing happened to me but my bulbs were so hot, they melted the stock harness. You can pick up some high temperature harnesses for 5 or 6 bucks each at pepboys. never had a problem since.

Go here and get the replacement sockets w/ wires.....there's still enough wire coming out of the back of the headlight assembly to where you could cut off the remaining socket, strip the wire down, and butt-connect/solder these new ones on.
