i have a set of springtech springs sittin in my garage, and all i need to do is install them. im getting price qoute for up to 300$ just to get the springs on and alignment. do i really have to get alignment when i put these springs on? and how much did you guys pay to get your springs put on? i also remembered i could get a spring compressor from autozone, but i'd still need to alignment. someone give me some hints on what to do

you probably wont need an alignment if the install is done properly, i didnt. i installed them myself so i am not too sure about the quote. that sounds expensive though.

no alignment needed, eh? Sounds good to me, I got Flashy's springtechs sitting in the origional box in my back room, waiting for installation. Gotta buy an impact gun and rent the spring compressor, then i'm off to the races B)

You can do em yourself. I did. If you mark where your originals were then you wont need an alignment but watch out if you forget to mark em. I spring compressor is a good tool to have anyway. Keep it in mind that if you dont have an air compressor than take it somewhere to get it done because the strut nut takes some pressure to get loose.

yeah i know i could do it myself, all i gotta do is rent the spring compressor, cause i got an impact wrench and i got more tools then i need, problem is im gonna need to know how to "mark" where to put these, and i might need a walk through so i dont f*** anything up.

dude, there is a "tab" on the plate that the springs rest on, it's hard to explain, but you put the spring against it, like the stock one. its cake.

exactly, the pic isnt the best but what formula was talking about is circled in red. the bottom of the spring rests up against it.....

yep, that's it. and the top plate only goes in one way, just make sure that lines up with the lower mount the same way it did when you took it off... the top plate has a flat side if i remember right, and you can use it as a reference point.
there is a how-to on here, and i used that... no problems whatsoever.
