I was driving down teh road and my trac off light began to flash on and off, suddenly my car jerked a few times and it wouldn't go when i hit the gas, I pulled over shut it off and it didn't start back up. I put a new battery and alternator on it and still nothing, so i took it to a shop and they are telling me something is wrong with my fuel pump and/or my cyclinder in it. Has anyone had this type of problem or something like it please.

figured out the problem today, when the person installed my new tranny and engine, he just wrapped the tranny ground aorund a damn screw or bolt, when i was driving it must have rattled and fell off then broke off. So with the tranny ground not there the car wouldn't start, replaced it today and runs like a charm.

It was Transmission Clinics lol. I gave him the bill and the number of the guy at the other shop I took it to and he refunded me. I did have 135k miles on a 99 3400 alero. So i guess I just got hesitant of the miles, then i took my car in the transmission place to check it out b/c it was slipping and my belts inside were smooth as a baby's butt. Not to mention the purplish color of my torque converter, it was purple due to high heat, so i got the tranny replaced, and teh car does run great. With CAi and a muffler my best run is a 9.47 in the 1/8 track. Since the nearest 1/4 track is 2 hrs away.

Not to whore up this thread, I would like to know what kind of mods you have to run a 9.4 in the 1/8. I ran against an older Cobra the last time I ran on the 1/8, and he pulled a quickest of 9.1. I have the 3.4 with CAI, exhaust, removed cat, mass air flow translator, and Auto Trans Intercpetor and the best I ran was a 9.7. If you say you have nitrous or something, then that is believable, if not, we would love to see timeslips. I only say this because nobody believed I ran my 9.7, which is pretty quick for a NA 3.4, until I showed my timeslips. We are not believers around here until we have proof.

I do have a 75 shot of NX on the Alero. Without the nitrous my best run is 9.73, I ahve the 3.4 with a cold air intake, exhaust, chip, auto transceptor.

Got to school early today, cars fine. Shut it off, turned on the lights and walked back to check my brake lights. They didn't work... so i went to start the car and it just cranked and cranked.... Only had starting problems once, and had the altanator replaced about a year ago... where or how do i make sure the tranny is grounded...

thanks

Okay, now the time is believable, with the chip and nitrous. How well has your car been handling the 75 shot? I was thinking of going with nitrous in the near future, but I was afraid to go that high (my car has almost 90,000 miles on it).

To be honest I've only shot it a few times, it seems to do rather well, but i did just get a new negine put in with some mods which help it i suppose.
