Step by Step Intructions
1. undo electrical poop
2. drain all fluids
3. unbolt tranny
4. yank the old engine out
5. put new one in
6. bolt tranny
7. new fluids
8. redo electrical poop
very basic, but yeah, just remember how you took it out, and be organized where you lay the pieces that are getting reused....i did the install of my new engine by myself....well and an engine lift....most mechanic work i had done before that was change my oil, you gotta learn somewhere......

You would need a new ECU, wiring harness, and I'm not sure, but there might be a difference in the motor mounts.

i hade someone else look at the ride today he says its a lifter valve anyone have an idea how easy this could be to change or should i just replace the motor?
|
Lifter is easy just remember where you cams are so you dont mess up your timing. The Valve is alot harder seeing how you need to take the head of your off the block.

im going to get a tube and check were the sounds coming from.Is there a dif in sounds from the rod knocking to the valves clicking.it more like a clicking and gets louder as u rev it up

Were you able to replace the 2.4 with the v6? If so how hard was it?

just take all the stuff from the v6 car, wiring harness, pcm, engine, tranny, heater hoses, radiator hoses, and you should be good to go....
when removing the motor, it is sooooo much easier to do when you take out the radiator first.....
also I'm not sure if the a/c condensor is in the same place on the v6 as it is on the twin cam.

Changing from a L4 to a V6 Dude that gonna be alot of rewiring of the ECU, pressure line, cables not to mention redoing the tranny setup. Your putting yourself through alot of work. prop to you for the time and patience doing that.
