if you want something that has adjustable sensor levels, then viper isnt your choice, as viper alarms have one level and although im happy with my alarm, its not the best because i can smack a quarter panel with some force and it wont even give a warning chirp, (which would be the equivalent of perhaps a shopping cart hitting your car or whatever). under $200 your looking at mainly just remote starts, to get a good car alarm ur gonna have to shell out $400+, although check w/ circuit city, they have some decent car alarms (cobra i think) that do have adjustable sensor levels around the $350 range for the best, although w/ how the lots at circuit city are around here, i suspect there not gonna be around for the long haul to honor a 4 year warranty or whatever their warranty years are...

what are you talking about? you can adjust the shock sensor sensor level on the viper alarm.. you need one of those tiny precision flat head screwdrivers like the one used for screwing glasses screws.

just get anything made by DEI

they make:
clifford
viper
avaital
sidewinder
pthyon(sp)
like 5 brands more

for more info goto www.directed.com

My 50 dollar Bulldog Alarm I ahd on my ciera had a sensitivity setting it would be funny if yours doesnt. Al i needed to do is hit the buttons and hold them down or somehting and tap the hood above the unit and the sensitivity would adjust to how hard you hit the hood. I cant remeber how many times that alarm would go off ju7st with hard wind or rain or a light tap on the door or what ever.

my brother was telling me there's a new kind of alarm on the market, you tell it what kind of car you have, there's 5 wires and it interfaces with your computer. with those 5 wires hooked up, you have alarm/keylessentry/remote start. and install takes 1-1.5 hours...he told me but i forgot the brand, it was at the electronics show...crimegaurd maybe?
