if you read the thread, a little ways down he says they will be making Stage 1 and 2 NA, Stage 1 and 2 Turbo and possibly some Nitrous cams

What are the specs on that camshaft and how much? I've seen a camshaft made by Sheerspeed. It was linked to that web page one of the members have with all the mods available for Aleros. Can't remember the site... Anyhow, I am looking to rebuild my engine in a month or so and I've been looking into some engine internals. If you have other upgraded parts, such as bigger valves, springs, retainers, rocker arms, pushrods, lifters, pistons, rings, rods, crankshaft, and anything else I forgot to mention, will you let me know? Thanks.

Hey loud? will the turbo cam be compatable with the supercharger? depending on time frame and actual cost i'm very interested, i'm getting my heads, headers, upper/lower I.M's throttle body and maf all at the same time, and dropping a cam in while torn down would be much easier!
let me know something, when you get a chance.

Ok the price is 360 and he is not leatting the cam specs out becuase there are possibly other cams being made, but I can say that unless you are going to port and polish your heads than you will only want stage 1 cam. But he will also be doing heads.
Ohh, I have never heard of anyone buying from sheerspeed, so I cant say I know anything about there cams.

ill be curious to see install time/price. this may be a better "bang for your buck" mod than headers...

This could be a very expensive thing to have done seen'n that you almost have to take the motor out of the engine bay.

So...I am buying a product without knowing what it can do? What do you mean he's not letting out the specs? For all I know, I'm getting a factory replacement.

read the posts by him, of course as of right now, he's not going to release the specs. there are other cams in development from other companies. if he released the specs, the other companies would copy what he paid alot of mone for.

right now, we have specs for stage 1 NA, stage 2 NA, stage 1 s/c, stage 2 s/c, and i'm even ordering a stage 3 NA for myself to be used in some all-out 3400 car for testing :huh?:  i haven't dialed in the turbo specs completly yet. i need to know some things like the amount of boost people are running, which turbos, stuff like that. if anyone wants to get on the first order with a nitrous cam, we'll order one, but right now i'm already buying a few cams out of pocket to put on the shelf, can't afford another.

i can get you the valves, springs, and retainers. we're working on the pushrods and lifters. i can get forged pistons, rings, rods, and even crankshafts, but the crank is not cheap (more than 2k for custom billet crank). we also sell some ported and polished complete cylinder heads that would really wake up your engine. also sell ported and polished upper and lower intakes for only 300 with gaskets.

we plan on leaving the motor in the engine bay, and doing a cam install like i would do a 3800's. the first one we are going to take a while doing, probably a full day's work, eventually i think we will get it down to 3-5 hrs. i've been quoting people 400 for install, and 50-100 extra to do heads at the same time.
sorry for all the posts, makes it easier to reply to people's questions. did i miss anything?

hey milzy.... i think for the turbo, most of us will be using a garret t3/t4, and stage one would be ~8psi, and stage 2 at 14-16 psi.
very interested in a stage one turbo cam and heads......... and if it's in my price range, also valves, springs, lifters, retainters, rods (and a stage 2 turbo cam instead of the stage one)
i'll have a pretty big chunk of change comin to me shortly, but the majority of it will go toward the turbo setup, so we'll have to see what i have left and what all this is gonna run.

ok, i'll keep that in mind about the turbo stuff
our heads come with all the valvetrain you need, so you'll only need lifters and rods out of that list, and i'll see what i can find out on the rods. B)
if we can get a buyer in on a turbo cam this time around, we'll get some made

you have a website of everything your going to offer?
$760 installed is alot of money, is this somthing you think a average diy (me) and a little better diy'er (dad :P) could accomplish with a whole day to go at it? what else besides the cam is needed?
id be nice if dhp had these specs to do a custom pcm for them.....or if you guys had that powertuner software you could customize the pcm right when you install it, if $760 cam with a reprogramed pcm it would be worth it.

the website is under construction, almost done.
i believe that this job could be done by a shade-tree mechanic, but it may require some special tools for this. i've gone through the gm walk-throughs for it, and it does cite a few special "j-tools", but we're going to try an install when the cams come back without the j-tools to see if it can be done with traditional tools.
anytime you tear into the motor, you're going to need to replace gaskets. we are going to sell some gaskit kits for the different cam and/or head combinations. for the cam install we will have a "mandatory gasket kit" which will include all the things that you will HAVE to change ... upper and lower intake gasket, timing cover gasket, and valve cover gaskets. then i will offer a "complete cam install kit" which include all of those plus timing chain, timing chain dampener, cam bolt, crank bolt, and camshaft key. then you're going to need 2 gallons of non-diluted dexcool, 5 quarts of oil, oil filter, assembly lube, 5 cans of brake cleaner for cleaning parts, STP oil treatment or cam lube, razor blades, etc.
we are currently working on getting custom pcms to match our products.
speed costs, how fast do you want to go?

as fast as i can afford, which isn't too fast....:P
what are good to have mods before this? right now, all i have is a cai, but ill have cat-back exhaust in a month, a underdrive pully soon after that. i was thinking of getting a dhp, then quit modding the performance for now, but depending on the total price with this, i may get your cam too, should put the car in the 14's with those mods id think.
let us know when you have the price for those kits...and the pcm.
